The Story Behind ‘805 Million Names’ with Zlatan Ibrahimović

Raising his voice for the “805 Million Names” campaign, Paris Saint-German striker Zlatan Ibrahimović joined the World Food Programme in its fight against hunger.

On Feb. 14, during the PSG  match with Caen at Parc des Princes, the Sweden international opened the scoring in the second minute, and promptly took off his shirt to show off the tattoos. There were many speculations but the message behind the act was revealed only the next day, when he and WFP France Director Marina Catena appeared together at a press conference in Paris.

"I had 50 names temporarily tattooed on my body. They are the names of real people who are suffering from hunger around the world,” explained Ibrahimović.
