New Wave Of Syrian Refugees Arrives In Lebanon

With the help of its partners, WFP is providing food to Syrian refugees who crossed into northern Lebanon in recent days after an upsurge of fighting in the Qalamoun area of Rural Damascus. They arrive in the town of Arsal, in the Bekaa Valley, often after difficult journeys on foot through the mountains. With winter setting in, the next few months look tough for the new arrivals and WFP support will be essential.
