WFP and its partners are mobilising hundreds of thousands of people worldwide to walk together on 21 May to call for an end to child hunger.
The global launch of “Fight Hunger: Walk the World”, will take place two days before the Walk on Friday 19 May, from 16:45 to 18:30.
Cirque du Soleil performance
On this occasion, Le Cirque du Soleil will perform a show in one of the most prestigious locations in the world: Tempio di Venere.
The performance will be followed by a press conference with WFP Executive Director, James Morris, to focus attention on Walk the World and child hunger.
You may access Tempio di Venere from Clivo di Venere Felice (only), on via dei Fori Imperiali (nearby the Piazza di Santa Francesca Romana). Our staff will be there to guide you.
This year Walk the World and its partner TNT received the Patronage of the European Commission Permanent Representation in Italy.
Please note that Tempio Venere is closed to the public and only invited guests will be allowed to attend.
We would be grateful if you could respond to this invitation by contacting:

In addition, we hope that you will join Walk the World in Rome on 21 May, starting in Piazza del Popolo at 10:00.
There will be some new “touches” for this year’s Walk, including fun for children and a musical presentation at the end of the Walk.
