South Sudan: Likanyi and daughters get emergency food aid
In this photo a woman named Likanyi and her daughters are carrying a sack of sorghum provided by WFP. She is one of the thousand women and children displaced by the recent spate of inter-communal conflict in Jonglei State. “We feel safe in Pibor,” said Likanyi who lost one of her eight children while fleeing Likuangole. WFP airlifted 44.5 metric tons of food into Pibor yesterday and will continue to airlift more food to meet the emergency food needs of those who have been displaced from their villages.
