WFP Nutrition Activities In Guinea-Bissau

Guinea-Bissau nutrition 1

Sister Silvia of the NGO CARITAS leads a sensitization program for mothers at the Cuntum Madina Nutritional Recovery Centre. At the health clinic WFP provides nutritional support with Corn Soil Blend (CSB), Vegetable Oil and Sugar. CSB is part of WFP's range of fortified nutritious foods that is provided as a supplement to prevent malnutrition among infants and young children, and pregnant women.

A child's weight and height are measured at the Cuntum Madina Nutritional Recovery Centre.

A baby's height is mesured at the Cuntum Madina Nutritional Recovery Centre.  A child's weight to height is a measure to determine his or her nutritional status.

Sister Silvia of the Catholic NGO CARITAS provides nutritional counselling to a mother in the Cuntum Madina Nutritional Recovery Centre.

A 4 month-old orphan is fed by his grandmother at the Cuntum Madina Nutritional Recovery Centre, which WFP provides nutritional support to prevent malnutrition in young children.
