Since 2003, The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) –a global management consulting firm and the world’s leading advisor on business strategy – has supported WFP’s work to feed the hungry, especially children. BCG leverages its expertise to help WFP increase the effectiveness of its strategy, operations, organization and knowledge management.
Joint initiatives include developing a cooperative and collaborative approach for nutrition interventions; quantifying the impact of WFP’s school meals and other safety net programmes; enhancing WFP’s funding model; and improving the organization’s scale-up of emergency food reserves.
BCG has lent support to the REACH nutrition initiative, an interagency partnership to tackle childhood hunger and undernutrition.

Partnership Impact: BCG leverages its global reach and operational capabilities to enrich WFP’s work with innovative know-how and expertise. The partnership helps WFP to make better use of available resources in order to enhance WFP’s impact in the long term, including by strengthening WFP’s collaboration with government and private sector donors and its participation in interagency initiatives. Over 300 BCG consultants have worked with WFP around the world to maximize the impact of the partnership.
