Emergency Operation Syria 200339

This Operation has been modified  as per Budget revision 12 (see below).

Progressively increase the number of target beneficiaries from 2.5 million to 4 million, in accordance with increasing needs;

Syria was hit by the wave of civil unrest known as the 'Arab Spring' in mid-March and the security situation has since deteriorated. To date, the number of deaths is nearing 2,000 civilians and 500 security personnel, as reported by media and human rights organizations.
