WFP Statement On U.S. Food Aid Reform Proposal
At a time of economic belt-tightening, when hunger needs remain great, we appreciate any donor’s review of funding, with the aim of improving efficiency and ensuring the greatest impact of limited resources.
We look forward to working with the Administration and leaders from both sides of the aisle in the U.S. Congress to ensure that American resources for international food assistance programs result in the greatest impact for hungry and poor people and families.
