Mexico And UN World Food Programme To Strengthen Partnership In Fight Against Hunger

Today, Cousin will meet the President of Mexico at the Presidential Residence of Los Pinos. During the day Cousin will also meet representatives of the Mexican private sector to foster innovative partnerships with companies that can align their expertise and strategic objectives with WFP’s mandate to fight world hunger, while meeting their Corporate Social Responsibility and business objectives.

Tomorrow, Cousin will sign a cooperation agreement with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Jose Antonio Meade. Through this agreement, WFP and Mexico will work in partnership to support programmes and projects to fight hunger and child malnutrition in Latin America and the Caribbean.  Also on Tuesday, Cousin will deliver a keynote speech at a forum on Social and Economic Inclusion in the post 2015 Agenda.
