Incredible video interview with Pierre Carrasse, WFP’s Chief of Aviation
A number of weeks ago we embarked on a project with the intention of showing you what kind of people work for WFP Logistics. We asked a group of three unique individuals if they would agree to be interviewed on film. All three graciously agreed to speak with us about their experiences. They were chosen because of their familiarity with various sections in the logistics group. The other two video interviews will be posted in the coming weeks.
This project has been a labor of love and we hope we have done justice to the interviewees. Below you will find the first in the series. We have cut it into two parts and significantly compressed it so that even those folks with limited bandwidth can watch it. The editing is far from perfect but we feel the incredible dialogue more than makes up for it.
For sixteen years Pierre Carrasse has served in WFP’s Aviation section. He is one of the world’s most respected humanitarian logistics officers. In his time he has flown more miles, moved more goods and assisted more people than just about anyone in the industry. Pierre’s interviews run about 9 minutes each, which is a bit long by internet standards, but we’re pretty sure that after you watch them you’ll agree with us that they are not nearly long enough. We sat in rapt silence as Pierre recounted his life experiences.
So, please grab a cup of coffee, sit back and enjoy 18 minutes with one of the world’s finest humanitarian aid workers.
