WFP Helps Boost Emergency Response In Palestine

Palestine is exposed to a range of risks, including earthquakes, landslides, flooding and droughts. Three years ago the World Food Programme (WFP) partnered with the Palestinian Civil Defence to better prepare for such emergencies and reduce risks. Recently, WFP led a simulation exercise to practice the information management tools it developed.

WFP’s mission in the West Bank and Gaza is to provide food assistance to vulnerable people and to work with local Palestinian authorities to strengthen safety nets and build the capacity of local institutions to anticipate and prepare for emergencies. in arabic?
