This recipe book, prepared jointly with "Le Cordon Bleu" Culinary Institute and funded by the Millennium Development Goals Fund (MDG-F), presents 28 nutritious recipes of appetizers, main course and desserts to promote and encourage health and nutrition among Peruvian families. With this publication WFP WFP supports the Government of Peru during the celebration of 2013 as the International Year of Quinoa.

In its 2012 Annual Review, the WFP Country Office in Peru reports about its agenda on technical assistance in partnership with the Government of Peru through social safety nets programmes implemented by the government --at national, regional, provincial and local level--with its own food resources. WFP's activities in Peru help to strengthen the government's capacities, and through advocacy work to influence intersectoral coordination by creating and/or improving public policies related to food security and nutrition within the framework of the National Strategy "Crecer para Incluir" (Growing Up For Social Inclusion).
