OUAGADOUGOU – The UN World Food Programme (WFP) has begun distributing locally-produced yoghurt as part of its school feeding programme in the capital of the Sahel region, one of the most food-insecure areas of Burkina Faso.

OUAGADOUGOU - A ceremony to mark a contribution of dates donated by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) was held at the Saudi Embassy here on 16 March.

OUAGADOUGOU – The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) has welcomed a contribution of US$ 5 million, equivalent to more than 2.983 billion FCFA, from the Government of Japan, to support activities for nearly 100,000 of the most vulnerable people living in Burkina Faso.

OUAGADOUGOU – The Executive Director of the UN World Food Programme (WFP), Ertharin Cousin, will travel to Burkina Faso from 13 to 15 March 2013. Cousin will visit the country on the invitation of the President of Burkina Faso, Blaise Compaoré, whom she met in October 2012 at the Forum on International Cooperation in Milan, Italy.
