WFP to remain in Philippines

Date Published:

As relief and rehabilitation works go full steam in the provinces battered by killer typhoon "Yolanda" (Haiyan), the World Food Programme (WFP) on Sunday announced that it will still remain in the affected communities to aid displaced families. “Emergency food assistance remains a top priority. Protecting children from malnutrition is crucial in the weeks and months ahead and WFP will remain alongside families through the early recover process,” said WFP Philippines country director Praveen Agrawal.
