West Africa Regional EMOP 200777 Providing life-saving support to households in Cameroon, Chad, and Niger directly affected by insecurity in northern Nigeria: An Operation Evaluation

The evaluation covers the West Africa Regional EMOP 200777 operation “Providing life-saving support to households in Cameroon, Chad, and Niger directly affected by insecurity in northern Nigeria”.

It was intended for both accountability and learning and focuses on assessing: i) the appropriateness and coherence of the operation; ii) its results; and iii) the factors explaining the results. The evaluation assessed the following activities: 1) food assistance to refugees and IDPs 2) nutrition activities, including treatment of moderate acute malnutrition and blanket supplementary food to children under 24 months year of age.

The evaluation, which makes a number of recommendations for the future, was managed and conducted by a consultancy firm, with fieldwork taking place in April 2016.
