FEWS NET Southern Africa has prepared this report based on data collected by a network of cross border monitors based at selected border points in Malawi, Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Zambia. The cross border monitors record data on a regular basis and transmit it to a central location for collation and analysis. Currently, the informal cross border trade monitor system includes 18 borders.
