Pakistan - Education Atlas, 2015

Pakistan - Education Atlas, 2015

The number of out-of-school children in Pakistan has been decreasing (from 6.7 million in 2012-13 to 6.1 million in 2013-14) and efforts are underway to have more children attend school. However, the progress is not fast enough to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) by the end of 2015.

This has been revealed in the latest report titled the “Pakistan Education Atlas 2015” launched in Islamabad on Wednesday 16 September by the World Food Programme (WFP) in collaboration with partners and the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training.

The Education Atlas is the outcome of continued joint collaboration between the National Education Management Information Systems (NEMIS) at the Academy of Educational Planning and Management (AEPAM), the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, and WFP’s Vulnerability Assessment and Mapping (VAM) Unit. It is the 4th and latest version of the series since 2010.
