Brasilia- The three delegations, which are each composed of a mixture of ministers, civil servants, technicians and WFP country representatives, will be in Brazil between 10th and 20th of September. For Malawi this will be a follow-up mission, attempting build upon the action plan for establishing a national school feeding programme devised on their first visit to the Centre in March. Their experience will be a concentrated programme based in Brasilia and seek to address some of the implementation challenges that have become apparent since the initial study visit.
Haiti, Senegal and Malawi to be hosted by Centre for exchange on school feeding
Delegations from Haiti, Senegal and Malawi are to visit Brazil for a full programme of discussions, field trips and workshops. These study visits, which serve to showcase the Brazilian example of integrating government-supported purchasing from smallholder farmers with social protection such as the National School Feeding Programme (PNAE), are designed to function as a forum for the visiting countries to develop their own strategies for developing sustainable and nationally-owned programmes.
